In June 2022 we set sail for the first time - metaforically and literally. Aboard the Flying Lotus—Tamesis Boat—we carved out a floating world of sound, movement, and unfiltered expression, setting the tone for the future of Lotus Nova. As this was a pre-festival spree, that is what we focused on: bringing the party on the water, stirring the excitiment and sparking the electric current for the festival.

It all began with the pulse of the music, the boat already vibrating beneath our feet as our Live Acts took the stage. Haunting vocals wove through the air, dynamic beats stirred the crowd into movement, and charged the night with raw, unrelenting force. Lydia Eisha, Cosmic Arcade, FLN, Dill, the sexy grandpa collective, Tino Gee, Dan Parties & The Immigrant Army, JMPR, Zami Yazeed and Isaiah Shoticaury—each brought their own signature style, a taste of what was to come at Lotus Nova Festival.

Then, a shift. The decks lit up, and our DJ's got behind the decks to take us on a ride - pardon - a cruise. Dan Parties, Galick-Z, Chase Tha Worst, and Crispy Guava built a sonic experience, layering beats that rocked the boat just as hard as we did. The bass reverberated off the water, the city skyline blurred in the background, and for those few hours, nothing existed but the moment.

The community also enjoyed being able to express themselves with our Sip&Paint.

Lotus Nova thrives on collective energy and freedom. The crowd swayed, jumped, locked into the rhythms, bodies pressed close in the heat of it all. We danced until our legs gave in, until the night folded.

This was only the beginning. A prelude. A fire lit.
